The Internet Analyst News — Germany: Eyeing the Internet Software Market
NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Dec. 21, 1999
Just as SAP (SAP) has come to dominate the Enterprise Resource Planning software market in the last several years — overtaking the early lead by the United States in that booming industry — a handful of German companies are aiming to conquer a significant chunk of the Internet software and services business. LHS Group (LHSG) helps telecommunications service providers with their billing and customer-care software needs, and in managing their daily operations.
This week's Latin America News: Terra Networks (TRRA) became Europe's biggest Internet Service Provider stock when it its parent, Spanish telecom giant Telefonica (TEF), sold a 13% stake in the company in November.
